BYU-Hawaii's Intramural Sports Program would like to welcome you to our team! Our Intramural Program provides an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to participate in a variety of events. All you need to do is register and come out for some fun!
It is our goal to provide a safe and welcoming environment where students can come and play, exercise, compete, and hope that everyone can find fun and satisfaction while participating in our sporting events. The purpose of the Intramurals Sports Program (ISP) is to:
- Promote physical activity and interaction amongst the student body and that is in harmony with the teachings of the gospel and Jesus Christ.
- Build new friendships and encourage a feeling of understanding and brotherly love in sharing our diverse cultural backgrounds and ethnic heritage.
- Provide an enjoyable, comprehensive and wholesome program of activities that will foster the development of personal physical fitness and that will promote interests and participation in recreational sports of skills and abilities.
Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Psalms 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Isaiah 40:31 ...The Lord shall renew their strength...they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
The major component of the Intramural program is team and individual competition and activity formatted in "league" or "tournament" play. In order to provide opportunities for all students these events will be organized by skill levels as the opportunity avails itself. Students can organize their teams within their wards by following the instructions on our Intramural website. Single Adult and Married Wards are encouraged to participate in team events to build ward spirit and create an opportunity for members to get to know each other.
